Everybody Counts: How Sex, Death, and Migration Shape Our World (forthcoming from W.W. Norton in 2022)
Jennifer Sciubba is the Chair of the Department of International Studies at Rhodes College and a leading American demographer. Her research focuses on the political, social, and economic implications of population trends, and she has a particular interest in population aging. It’s easy to take population projections about the future for granted. But, these can look very different depending on the assumptions used to generate them. Dr. Sciubba explains how important demographic information is for understanding the future of our world, and the importance of seeking out the assumptions that go into the data.
We had a great opportunity to interview political demographer Jennifer Sciubba about her forthcoming book, Everybody Counts: How Sex, Death, and Migration Shape Our World. If you are interested in how the world population is changing and how that can affect your business, community and government, look out for Dr. Sciubba’s book.
